Sofa Throw Pillows

After almost a month an half we have the computer fixed and up and running again. It wasn't a good time to have your hard drive crash due to a tsunami in Thailand where they get manufactured. After two trips to Best Bus and stumping the tech guys pretty good, we have this bad boy fixed and up to speed again. Yay!

Front Bedroom Colors

 Censational Girl

These were general tones. I wanted to keep as accents to the room. There is a lot of light and I wanted to keep it a light and airy feeling.

I liked the aqau. But it would be a little too femine in the end, so I ended up leaning towards navy for the other accent color.

 House Beautiful

I love these curtains in the bright chevron pattern. But I'm also leaning towards the idea of doing it in navy or leaving them a white. Still thinking on it...

Or maybe I should go diy and do a large chevron print. Then it would be simple and not too overpowering and if I tired of it I could easily change it.

Diy chandelier. This is the reigning favorite shape of these capriz chandeliers. Definately put something over the bed.

This is the similar concept to my vision. Except for the red I'd like a apple green accent. But this is what I'm looking for the overall tone. Something warm feeling with a pop of color.

I'm liking this paint color for the downstairs bathroom

Our bathroom has this tiny inset for the toilet and I think a large white frame would help feel not so dark.

I like the chevorn curtian. I'd definately want a different color, but I think this says masculine but not over the top.

House Tour

Found a cute home tour of before and after pics and couple is working on to update their home. I especially like the living room pops of red. Go here for the full tour: inthelittleyellowhouse.blogspot.com/p/little-yellow-house-tour.html

Found a great tutorial for making your own rug. Once we get the new sofa in the living room this might be a fun project to tackle.

Basement Inspiration

Our basement rooms have kind of been on the back burner due to the lack of purpose of the family room. We've only had the computer/office area and the media stuff has been upstairs due to our huge entertainment center that would only fit downstairs if we took it apart. My husband was unwilling to take the beast apart till now and he's finally interested in making it more enjoyable in appearance. Luckily we have new carpet in and it just needs some nice TLC. One of these days I'll talk him into painting the panelling. He likes the rustic feel, I'm completely not okay with it. But hey I've gotten to choose everything paint and color upstairs so we've had to compromise a bit.

This color would look great for a green office desk.

Love the bold red. Think this would be great to paint the bathroom door (presently its a drab hollow core door). Make it conversation piece and add a quirky element to the space.

Our bathroom is tiny like this. But I like the back and white contrast with the gray.
